Earning Her Ears
Twin girls Norah & Georgia (totally unplanned)
Gramma has a 'tradition' of buying each grandchild their first set of Mickey ears. Today Georgia received hers.
Seeing how big they were on her reminded me of when Jake first got his ears. I can't believe how big they are at first and how quickly they fit perfectly! These little babies grow so fast!
Thanks for the ears, Gramma. And thanks for coming with us today. We love you and love spending time with you too!

Do You Bumbo??
Did anyone else use one with their kids? Do you think she's old enough for it? (I know she's big enough!) But I worry that maybe developmentally it's still a little early. When did you start using yours? Any suggestions??

Memorial Day
In between the feeding frenzy's John, the kids, & I drove out to the Camarillo outlet's in hopes of great sales. We all need clothes and heard that was where to go. The Children's Place had plenty for the kids, most at the fabulous price of $4.99, but Gap was very disappointing for me & John. At least the kids are now set for the next size up!
Jacob loves his new sunglasses Daddy helped him pick out.
We had a great day! And are especially thankful for the men and women who give their lives in the service of this great country so that we can enjoy the freedom's we have. Thank You.

I Have a Climber...
Today I found him on the kitchen counter with the strawberries that I had just washed.
He had dumped them all out and took one bite out of most of them. At least they're fruit, right?! :)
**************************
I've had lots of people ask me lately how Jake is doing now that Georgia is here, he's great. He really is. He is the best big brother to her. He loves her so much - sometimes I think too much. He's constantly aware of her and her needs. The only time I have ever heard him say "I love you" is to Georgia and it is absolutely heartwarming. In his little boy voice he says, "I wuv you, Georgie." It's priceless. At some point I'm going to catch it on video. I need that forever. It truly makes me happy.

Calgone, Take Me... Out To the Ballgame
waste, the final score was 12-1 Mets, but Jake loved being in the stadium, watching the birds and playing with John's co-workers. Georgia enjoyed a nice nap in the arms of many... she was passed around to
quite a few people. John loved calling the game 'work' for the day, and I loved the break from the normal and being outside with my family. It was a good day at the ballpark.
when Georgia wet all over herself as I was changing her diaper in the Dodger Stadium bathroom. Thankfully I put another outfit for her in the diaper bag... that was with John at that point. I wrapped her in a burp cloth *poor girl* and we hurried down to John. The rest of the game went well.
On the way home John needed to stop by a house for work and since the kids were sleeping I just parked the car and listened to the radio... and then...Jake woke up and threw-up all over himself and his car seat. It was disgusting. I got him cleaned up and out of his chair. And we waited for John to finish up. He seemed to feel much better after that and so I wasn't worried. I should have been. As we drove up the 5 in rush hour traffic it hit him again and again and again. Much worse than earlier and it was soooo -- yuck! Poor guy just kept saying, "Mommy yucky. Mommy cold. Mommy ewie." I felt so bad but there was nothing we could do-- we just had to drive as quickly (slowly) as possible to get him home and cleaned up.

Visiting G'Gma
went to visit her. I was nervous about Jake's reaction to seeing her in bed at a new place, but he just saw her and was as happy as can be. He sat (in her wheelchair, of course) and visited with her. Once we got her out of bed and into her wheelchair he pushed her around, like usual. He was really cute. As other residents passed her
room they all waved to Jake -- he was a big hit. Georgia sat with G'Gma for a couple of minutes too. It was a really good visit.

Grandma & Grandpa Arrive!
blessing on Sunday. Jake had lots of fun playing with Grandpa -- so much fun that when he sat down and fell asleep-- and Georgia enjoyed her time getting to know him. We're so glad they're here and are looking forward to the rest of the weekend.
