Hard Days Work

Today Gram & I worked on getting some things organized around the house.While we worked Naomi took it upon herself to make sure Alice was happy.

(I should probably stop her seeing how Alice is still exclusively breastfeeding and Naomi's cup is filled with juice... but they're both happy... and she doesn't know how to get juice out... yet!)

Once Jacob got home from school I sat down with the kids in the pile of toys and went through them one-by-one putting everything in its proper place. Both Jake & George worked really hard and it didn't take us too long to get it all organized.

And when Daddy got home he took them to get their much-anticipated-promised-reward-by-Gram...

A little Slurpee is always a welcomed treat after a day of hard work!

Firsts for Two

This afternoon Georgia was able to attend her first "real" birthday party-- a party she was invited to because she is friends with the girl and not because we are friends with them. Granted, it was someone from our previous ward, but still... she was super excited about going to her first party without Mommy or Daddy there... and especially without Jacob or Naomi there as well.

She had such a fun time there too! I worried a little about her though because she's such an independent thang but she had a great time, whether she played or interacted with anyone else or not!

While Georgie was at the party, Gram, Naomi, Alice, Jacob, & I went to visit my Great Aunt Donna. We had a really nice visit with her. As we were chatting I sat Alice up to see if she'd sit by herself and sure enough... she sits!

Escaping the Heat

It was 97* at home today so instead of suffering through it we called some friends and headed to the beach! It was absolutely perfect! Just enough overcast. Just enough breeze. Just enough fun. Just enough perfection.

The Daddies (John, Ben, & Opa Phil) played football, made sand castles, and played jump rope with the kids... they absolutely loved it!

That wasn't happening so Gram walked her through...

Potty, check!

One week later and the girl is officially potty trained. She did amazingly well. She hasn't had an accident, day or night, in 4 days! I am so proud of her, she's such a big girl!

Park Play

We were invited to another "party" for Andrew today at the park. It was lots of fun meeting up with friends old & new.
