Halloween: Trick of Treat

Tonight we went trick or treating with the Keil's in Heather's parents neighborhood. Debi offered to make dinner beforehand and then we were out the door in search of candy.
(Proof that Naomi really was there, she just wouldn't put on her costume... poor Snow White)
It was lots & lots of fun and more candy than we ever need was collected. The kids were cute as can be... even if one of them refused to get into costume.

Until next year... Happy Halloween!
(thanks Heather for sharing your pictures)

Halloween Fun: Jacob's Class

Jacob's class didn't get to wear their costumes, but Mrs. McRea still put on a great party! Jacob had lots of fun with the activities she had planned!

(please ignore the fact that every single picture is blurry, my camera settings were off... I'm so bugged by my mistake!)

While I was there I also took advantage pf looking around the classroom and checking out all of Jacob's work. He sure is doing a great job in 1st grade!
One of of two students to have read an AR book yet... and he's finished with all 5 required in the month of November! Go Jakey Boy!!

Halloween Fun: Georgie's Class

Lucky Georgia, she got to wear her Cinderella costume to school today for her Halloween party. She was pretty darn happy about it too!
 Maya
Georgie and her school friends: Devin, Maya, Georgie, & Carly (missing Laila)

Miss Jan is so much fun, she had lots of games, treats, and funny Halloween stories for her students. Georgie is a lucky girl to be in her class.

Tonight we attended Jacob's school Fall Festival.

 Carea (Jackson's mom) helping Georgie
Jacob was there, he was just all over the place with his friends! The kids all seemed to have fun, especially the girls!

Halloween Lunch Bunch

We hosted Lunch Bunch today and Georige wanted to have it be Halloween themed so we invited her friends to wear their costumes and we made a little party of it.

It was cute.

Pumpkin Carving

All week long the kids have talked about carving their pumpkins into Jack-o-Lanterns... and tonight was the night.
And the whole time all I heard was, "this is disgusting, I never want to do this again.", "ewwww, gross, these pumpkins stink". Thankfully they kept pressing forward and finished the job.

But believe me, I could do without the whole carving pumpkins as well. Maybe next year!

Loss & Trunk or Treat

Jacob's team had their very first loss today. The team they played against were also undefeated and they were really, really good. I was so impressed with the way our boys raised their level of play to compete. Its obvious they have learned a lot this season and they were playing the absolute best they could. I was so proud of the way Jacob hustled and played, it was the best I've seen him play yet. The final score was 0-3, but those 3 points were hard earned and I think our boys learned about working together, playing their best, and the agony of defeat. It was a great game!

The face of defeat

This evening was our ward Trunk or Treat. The kids were so excited to finally wear their costumes that Gram worked so hard on all week!
Alice's first Halloween costume-- a sock monkey. Perfectly fitting, don't you think?!
Best Friends, Georgie & Norah... or, Cinderella & Merida
(PS- Norah's hair was AWESOME!)
The kids had such a great time! We loved having the Wilde's with us and it was really nice to feel a part of our new ward.
