Primetime Preschool Graduation

Our Georgie Girl did it, she graduated from preschool! Now, onto kindergarten!!

Since her mom is crazy and offered to make the programs and end-of-year booklets Georgie got to lead the flag salute.

(I had no idea that was part of the deal when I offered... because no one else had. When I offered the morning we were in the midst of making an offer on a house we hadn't seen yet. That crazy day, yah... that's when I offered because Miss Jan seemed desperate.)
During the program she sang and sang and looked so grown up. We're very excited for our sweet Georgia Ann, kindergarten awaits!

And she's more than ready for it... although she is a bit nervous.

After the graduation ceremony we went to lunch with Gram & the Wilde's to celebrate her accomplishment. That was lots of fun too!

Memorial Day

Memorial Day is always a lazy day around here... until the evening. The only thing different this year was John was gone to Atlanta and it was just the kids & I. We did our usual: pool & dinner with the Keil's & Wilde's, along with the DelHoyo's and Trish. It was a really fun day!

I sure LOVE these friends of ours! They always make life fun!

18 months, my goodness!

Alice Kay, 18 months & the monkey

Alice is already a year and a half. Where has the time gone... and hasn't she always been here!?

At 18 months Alice is:
27lbs, 31 1/2 inches
talking up a storm, her most often said words: hello, momma, no
keeping up with all of her sisters and brother
climbing everything
very adventureous
happy as can be
likes to copy Naomi in everything, including sucking her thumb & playing with her button (but she'll only do it when she sees Naomi... thank goodness it isn't her *thing* too.)
still nursing a few times a day
taking one two-hour nap a day
(finally!) sleeping through the night
coloring everytyhing: paper, tables, walls, bed sheets, carpet, you name it
our only curly-haired child (she has the prettiest blonde curls in back)
still our baby blue eyed babe

Naomi's Doc McStuffin's Birthday party

Naomi Jean & the monkey, age 3

Poor Naomi, since her birthday is Cinco de Mayo I think we should have a fiesta, but she wanted Doc McStuffin so we compromised. She got Doc and we ate Mexican food. We always love having everyone together for parties and this one was no different to celebrate our NaNa girl.

She loved her birthday party and we adore her! She is so fun. She is always the life of the party. She tells and gets jokes in a way the other kids don't. She's got a sense of humor that is awesome. She's happy and kind. She cares about everyone else and their happiness, sometimes to a fault. She's the easiest to compromise and let someone have their way. She's still sucking her thumb and rubbing her belly button. And she LOVES being THREE!
