Grandma Doolittle's kids & grandkids -- 1990
{Jennifer, Jim & Brad; Alan, Linda, & Roxann; Stacy, Diane & Rick (Fred's missing); Dave, Kelsi & Ben}

hunting for shamrocks,
blowing bubbles,
eating shamrock jigglers,
& just relaxing.
It's not completely finished yet, I still have to hand stitch around it. Georgie is going to be adorable in it at her birthday party.
The Buhler's came from Bern, Switzerland after they were baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They came to the United States in 1881.
The Meldrum family came from Fifeshire, Scotland to heed the voice of the Prophet as well. They came between the years of 1858 and 1862. {I'm sure someone else knows the exact year.}
The Doolittle family came from Kidderminster, England in the 1630's in search of religious freedom.
The Fair family can be traced to Path Valley, Pennsylvania in 1752. I'm sure their roots are in England, but they haven't been discovered at this point.

We decided today was the day!
Georgie is now a front-facing girl.
She was really happy.
And then we realized we're missing our base {we have no idea how... or where it went!}. Now we have the joy of purchasing another car seat.
Dang.
**love to hear percussion...

Popcorn popping on the {apricot} tree!
It's Spring around these parts. And we're loving it. Even my tulips are starting to blossom. I can't wait to see them in full bloom.
Thanks to the perfect weather {67 @ 6pm} we spent the day outside.

{While Georgie watched & cheered}
Once they were all plum-tuckered out, we made our way to Costco. We had high hopes that they would both fall asleep in the car on the way there... no such luck.
Unfortunately the samples were quite sparse today so we were still hungry when our shopping was finished. Jake wanted "El Coco" and it sounded good to us as well.
At "El Coco" {el pollo loco} Jake found one of those claw games with the stuffed animals. To discourage his wants we tried explaining to him that no one ever wins. Then a young girl, maybe 11, comes over and wins. twice. {thanks for the help kid!}
After we finished eating Jake was still begging to play. Why not. Get the kid 50 cents. Let him try. We explained, once again, that not everyone wins.
And on his second try... he did. All by himself. I am not kidding.
See.

He was really, REALLY pleased with himself.
Go Jake!
AND... this is my 500th post.
Go Me!
